How do I figure out my longitude? 

Because your exact longitude is very important for these calculations I encourage you to either use a hand held GPS unit.  Or utilize the excellent selection of mapping software available for free on the internet.  I have looked at the zip code databases and they are inadequate because of the size of the area they cover.

The first method will allow you to simply insert the street address of your place of work.

The second method uses the same mapping information used to take the census.

tiger.census.gov 

I recommend you start with your zip code and then make sure to check the option to display street names and waterways.  Using this you may be able to pretend you are "driving" to work from a prominent landmark on the map. This method is highly accurate even though it is slightly time consuming.
